Leigh Standford Thompson
Leigh Stanford Thompson is an accomplished and versatile musical director with a passion for bringing people together through music.
Leigh’s choral journey began as a young member of the National Youth Choir of Wales, where he had the privilege of working under the esteemed Ralph Allwood MBE and Jean Stanley-Jones MBE, an experience that helped shape his love of choral music.
In the world of musical theatre, Leigh has built an impressive career as a musical director, working on productions such as 101 Dalmatians the Musical, Young Frankenstein in the West End, and iconic shows like Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, and The Phantom of the Opera — to name just a few.
Most recently, Leigh spent three years as conductor of City Academy Voices, where he dramatically grew the choir’s membership and expanded their repertoire, leading them to multiple sold-out performances.
Whether he’s working with a West End cast or a community choir, Leigh brings energy, expertise, and an infectious love of music to every rehearsal room he steps into.

Samuel Wilson
Samuel is a music director, arranger and orchestrator from London. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and received an honours degree in composition with jazz piano, also studying conducting under David Corkhill and Tim Redmond.
Recent highlights as music director, arranger and/or orchestrator include Amélie (UK Tour/ Criterion Theatre), Christmas Spectacular (AO Arena Manchester), Forest of Piano (Daegu International Musical Festival), The Three Little Pigs (Unicorn Theatre), The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (UK Tour / Gillian Lynne Theatre), Doctor Who: Time Fracture (Immersive London), West End Does: The Magic of Animation (Cadogan Hall), Young Frankenstein (RCSSD), The House With Chicken Legs (Home, Manchester), CinderElla (Nuffield Southampton), De Broadway a Hollywood (Festival Jardins Pedralbes), The Last Days of Anne Boleyn (Tower of London) and Grease (Blackheath Halls), as well as gala events for RADA, the Almeida and the Criterion.
Samuel lives in East Ham with his family and serves as the music co-ordinator for Crossway Stratford, a church plant in east London.
How to Join
We are currently accepting new members in all sections
To join, you’ll first need to attend a taster session at a rehearsal of your choice.
During the session, you’ll have a chat with the Director about your experience, vocal range, and where you might best fit in the choir. If you’re unsure of your range, the Director may guide you through a few simple vocal exercises.
After the rehearsal, the Director will talk through your experience and help decide whether LCC feels like the right fit for you.
